On the need to still need to connected old and new dots and advise and warn the readers about what came, the impact and what is about to come, I write a new post earlier.
My first Everything shortage is required reading to understand this one, at least at a deeper level.
Back at the start of the “supply chain woes” most of the experts, even unorthodox ones were spouting the nonsense that the supply chain problems would be fixed Q2 2022, tops. Which was a blatantly, at the time I had received a few leaks from people inside the maritive industry where the industry themselves said they expect this to drag on into 2023, and some now say “perhaps 2024…….”.
The supply problem isn’t just a economical one, causing localized scarcity and fueling stupid policies like overprinting money. It’s fueling both raw material shortage and repair parts, not just to the end consumer, but to factories too.
Things have been breaking down faster the last 18 months than the system can repair. It comes down to EROI (remember this term, it will be highly important later). The demand was too high, the system coundn’t take it and the supply problems added to the fire.
In October 15, 2021 Matalco warned magnesium shortage, potential impact to 2022 aluminum billet output , magnesium is a corner stone of industry and it’s use more than just mere aluminum production, and aluminum is one of the most used materials in the planet, it is also used in steel production. Even with China rebouding it’s exports, there is still a shortage and there still will be one. Lack of all this and slow supply lines leads to shortage of repair parts.
2 weeks later we got the China’s power crisis sends magnesium prices skyward, choking supply chain and leaving Europe desperate
You know what happens when you live under a hybrid warfare system, rules don’t apply and there is a massive breakdown of both trust and supply chain efficiency ? You can exploit countris and their dispair.
What caused the magnesium shortage and it’s cascade effects ? Well, demand and energy. Higher costs of energy and forced blackouts by the CCP in Mainland China, particularly in the Shaanxi Province, which account for most of the Magnesium production.
Chinese fuel shortages lead then to ration diesel.
Not enough fuel to go around, not enough raw materials to produce repair parts, things breakdown faster than you can fix them, a logistical cytokine storm.
Without energy parts of the world are experiencing massive raise in energy costs and it’s safe to assume blackouts are coming.
A global energy crisis is coming. There's no quick fix
A higher demand in energy has dire implications not just to the amenities of modern life, but to food security world wide.
What comes after darkness, is hunger.
